Laughing till I have to Pee!

Last week was nuts...no other word to describe it. I got up Monday all ready for the first week back to school from Christmas break, fired up the Keurig and off to work I went. Tuesday was deemed "too cold" to go to school! Seriously? Put on a jacket for the few minutes you wait for the bus and suck it up buttercup! But no, we were home. Our neighbors came over and the girls played together making for a nice night. Wednesday? Two hour delay- again for the cold. Are you freaking kidding me? Another day of not seeing kids because of schedule changes. Thursday- Normal with a nice stop in at Chic Fil A and playing with Toby and James while I got to talk to Maura about my favorite topic- our upcoming Disney trip. Friday? Two hour delay called at 6 am for freezing rain, to be totally called off at 7:30 because of still dangerour roads. Augh! I had to go in anyway for a little bit since I didn't have anything to work with for this week. Friday night we went to our friends' house and played poker. Josh assured me we would be home by 10:30 at the latest. Juliette had fun cuddling on the couch with her friends and watching Netflix while I kicked everyone's ass and won 20 bucks. But she didn't get to bed until midnight. Saturday was her first soccer class. Again that night she was up until almost midnight- Josh put her to bed while I was at book club and she happily played in bed for hours. I think it was because she didn't wake up from her nap until late. Sunday we went to see Chris and Kelley and Eddie for their last day as a fmaiy of three- she's having baby Lulu right now!! :)
Juliette and Eddie kept themselves entertained and we left around 6:30. Poor kid fell asleep in the car and that was enough to give her energy to last until probably 11:30.

But here's the pee pee story. She called for Josh last night and said she needed a tissue. He asked why and she told him she wanted to play the tissue game. Tissue game you might ask? Well being a good daddy he asked the same question. She demonstrated her new game which involved ripping a tissue into teeny tiny pieces and shoving them into the holes of her pillow pet...the pillow pet that lights up? Yep. The pillow pet with the very strong LED lights? Yep. The pillow pet that gets hot when you leave it on constant mode? Yep, yep, and yep. Josh had to unscrew the back and empty out all the "game pieces" and explain the fire hazzard and that her lady bug could light up like the Fourth of July if she kept playing the tissue game. Ahhh imagination! When I came to bed and he told me that I nearly peed my pants laughing so hard.

Joys of parenthood.
