Superhero Love

I can't explain why, but Juliette is super excited about the upcoming Lego Movie date she has with her Daddy next weekend. She loves seeing the trailers on youtube and Josh got her books about it too. She thinks Batman is hysterical when he whispers "I'm Batman" and will come up to you all sneaky and say it. I don't know why! I think it's so cute. She can't wait to see the movie. Check out the different trailers- they're too cute.

back in soccer!

We started a new soccer class a few weeks ago. This one is a little different. Now after doing some practicing and skill drills the coach breaks them into teams and they have little games. There's one little boy who is a born soccer player and doesn't quite understand the concept of passing to another team mate. None of them really do yet though. It's cute to watch.

New favorite

We have a new favorite soundtrack in our house- the music from Frozen. We sing it all the time and even when Juliette isn't in the car I find myself singing to it! By far her favorite is Let it Go and she knows the entire thing. I really hope this uploads right!!

Happy birthday!

Josh had a great birthday with a snow day!

Here's Juliette's card--complete with  birthday balloon! :)

More snow day pictures

I was very thankful for the snow days last week because Juliette wasn't going to sleep until after midnight and as late as 2 am because the coughing kept her awake. One night I came to bed at midnight to see this in our bed!

Her perfect angel :)

Daddy pulled her up the road.

We even made snow ice cream with four cups of snow, some sugar, milk, and vanilla.

Catching snow

New Addition

I forgot! We have a new baby in our "family"!!! Suzanne Evans was born a little over two weeks ago! We got to go down to the hospital to see her, but the weekend before she was born, we spend some quality time with the former family of three and Juliette's best bud Eddie. Kelley and I went shopping while the kids stayed with the guys and I came home to a perfectly clean house---NOT!!

Better now

Juliette got her yearly croupy cough infection again. Luckily we were off from school until Friday and she was able to get all better. Last night guess what? WE GOT SNOW!! So now today we are on yet another snow day. Here are some pictures from last week's "big storm". We were supposed to get 4-8 inches, but ended up with about 3. She begged and begged to go outside even though she was still a little sick. We were out for about 10 minutes and she started coughing again so in we went. It was enough for her to be able to make a few snow angels. Josh put her in her boogie board and ran her up and down the ice covered road a few times which she loved.

Laughing till I have to Pee!

Last week was nuts...no other word to describe it. I got up Monday all ready for the first week back to school from Christmas break, fired up the Keurig and off to work I went. Tuesday was deemed "too cold" to go to school! Seriously? Put on a jacket for the few minutes you wait for the bus and suck it up buttercup! But no, we were home. Our neighbors came over and the girls played together making for a nice night. Wednesday? Two hour delay- again for the cold. Are you freaking kidding me? Another day of not seeing kids because of schedule changes. Thursday- Normal with a nice stop in at Chic Fil A and playing with Toby and James while I got to talk to Maura about my favorite topic- our upcoming Disney trip. Friday? Two hour delay called at 6 am for freezing rain, to be totally called off at 7:30 because of still dangerour roads. Augh! I had to go in anyway for a little bit since I didn't have anything to work with for this week. Friday night we went to our friends' house and played poker. Josh assured me we would be home by 10:30 at the latest. Juliette had fun cuddling on the couch with her friends and watching Netflix while I kicked everyone's ass and won 20 bucks. But she didn't get to bed until midnight. Saturday was her first soccer class. Again that night she was up until almost midnight- Josh put her to bed while I was at book club and she happily played in bed for hours. I think it was because she didn't wake up from her nap until late. Sunday we went to see Chris and Kelley and Eddie for their last day as a fmaiy of three- she's having baby Lulu right now!! :)
Juliette and Eddie kept themselves entertained and we left around 6:30. Poor kid fell asleep in the car and that was enough to give her energy to last until probably 11:30.

But here's the pee pee story. She called for Josh last night and said she needed a tissue. He asked why and she told him she wanted to play the tissue game. Tissue game you might ask? Well being a good daddy he asked the same question. She demonstrated her new game which involved ripping a tissue into teeny tiny pieces and shoving them into the holes of her pillow pet...the pillow pet that lights up? Yep. The pillow pet with the very strong LED lights? Yep. The pillow pet that gets hot when you leave it on constant mode? Yep, yep, and yep. Josh had to unscrew the back and empty out all the "game pieces" and explain the fire hazzard and that her lady bug could light up like the Fourth of July if she kept playing the tissue game. Ahhh imagination! When I came to bed and he told me that I nearly peed my pants laughing so hard.

Joys of parenthood.

A New Year!

Well we made it home to Virginia in time to beat the storm that hit Scranton in time to be here for the storm that hit us last night by surprise! We were caught off guard by this snow. Juliette couldn't wait to get outside this morning and try to build a snowman. Unfortunately what was really good packing snow last night turned into soft, fluffy stuff by this morning. But she was still able to play in it and had some fun.

This year is going to be filled with new experiences and milestones. In April we will be heading to Disney- we finally bit the bullet and are going. Josh and I haven't been to Florida since before she was born. The last time we went to the parks was just Hollywood Studios. I haven't been to Magiv Kingdom since I was 14 and Josh I think it's been even longer so everyone is excited. Whenever Juliette sees a plane now she will tell you that that's how we are going to get to Disney and she can't wait to give the real Donald a hug.

Another milestone I'm not quite looking forward to because it means she's not a baby anymore is her going to kindergarten. I see kindergarten kids every day--no way my kid could be that old! But yes, time passes and she will be in school. She's going to be with Josh and that's another thing that I'm kind of sad about- not having her with me. But I think it's a good thing. I think I would be very annoying to whoever her teacher was!

One thing I won't miss is paying for day care! What will we do with the "daycare raise"????? I can't wait to find out! :)

But for now we are enjoying the long vacation and snow outside. Monday we go back to work and I think Juliette will like going back to Diana's. So Happy New Year and stay warm!
