Birthday party

Juliette's birthday was at Kids in Motion- two huge rooms filled with bounce stuff. The kids (and some adults) loved the slide. Juliette----not so much. Josh carried her up and took her down with him and she was not happy. I thought there would be a meltdown.

Nana got to meet Lilley!

James photo bombing me! I knew there was no way I was going to get a group shot with 20 kids so I did my best while they were eating and still for 10 minutes!

Juliette wanted a Tinkerbell cake which is not made at Costco. So I got Tink colored flowers and a Tink candle- done.

I can't turn the picture around!

Hanging with the big kids

This year we took Juliette with us to our friends' crawfish boil again. We didn't take her last year, but she's older now so we came along. She had a blast playing with the other kids and looking for fish in the creek.

Strawberry Picking

Fun times at the strawberry patch! Juliette loved finding odd shaped strawberries like one that looked like teeth, or one that looked like it had legs. Her favorite though, was one that looked like a butt. She screamed out Look Mommy my berry has a butt! I think the people ahead of us almost fell over laughing so hard.

Mouthful of berry

Mommy we need to go over there!

hehe her butt berry

She was so excited when a ladybug crawled on her. See it on her finger?

augh, the dirt pile. I had to drag her away from it.

mmmm

turned into .....

Day Trip

A few weeks ago we were visiting Chris and Kelley and Josh got the urge to take a day trip down to the beach. Because we had nothing with us and Josh wanted to sleep over, we ran to Walmart for a change of clothes and some supplies. The day was beautiful and we had a great time. I told Juliette to not go in the water too deep since she didn't have a bathing suit, so she hiked up her shorts and in she went. When a wave hit her and got the bottom of her shirt wet she was upset but I told her it would dry so she looked at it and said Oh yeah it will dry and ran right into the water (which was ice cold by the way). Nothing phases these kids!

ice cream for lunch? Of course!

Birthday Girl

Josh gave her a choice of anywhere she wanted to go for her birthday dinner- she picked the marshmallow place---Golden Corral. Aside from Pizza Hut it's her favorite place. I'm still uploading Disney pics but here are some other things we've been up to in the last month.

No longer a baby

Well I have to get out of calling her a baby. I don't call the kindergarten kiddos here babies and she is that age now. I can't believe she is 5 today. This morning she was a little confused because, as she told me, "I've already had my celebration!" Then she wondered what her friends would get her- I had to let her down easy that her friends had already given her presents...today was just a fun day with cake for dinner! So everyone close your eyes at 5:54 for the last minute of her being 4 years old. Sniff  sniff. I needed her to do something quickly this morning and she was being her usual self putzing around...hmmm who does that sound like??? I just told her she was five now and five year olds do things the first time they are told. BAM! Worked like a charm! I couldn't believe it! Could that be the trick to end my frustration of her not doing things when I tell her?????? Diana sent me pictures this afternoon of her in a birthday hat blowing out a cupcake with all the kids. I needed that ;). More pictures to come!

More Disney

If I'm posting doubled oops, I can't keep track of everything! :)
Continuing with Epcot and pictures from the park photographers. I loved she got excited over meeting Duffy Bear because she had no clue who it was, but didn't care- it was something at Disney to hug and get an autograph! We actually got to see a lot of characters in Epcot which surprised me, but there were two spots to see the "regular" Disney peeps and one of them was only for people who had the Disney Visa so that wait was short. I'm glad we did the princess dinners because we missed all of them in the countries at World Showcase.
Here are just a few- more to come tomorrow when I'm stuck in hall duty.

Akershus

more princess time!!

Snow White was so sweet to Juliette. She made a big fuss over her SNow White t-shirt.

Juliette almost knocked her down giving her a hug!

A princes parade!
