Princess Party

We had the princess party at Courtland High again this weekend. Last year she went as Snow White, this year she was Cinderella. I thought it was better last year, but Juliette had a ball and didn't notice a difference. She got to see all her favorite girls, did a great job of coloring her crown, had fun playing in the princess castles (maybe I should set up her tent again) and loved playing the games--probably because she got candy.

Meg and Hercules

Ariel

Esmerelda from Hunchback

Sleeping Beauty- but don't let Juliette her you call her that. She tells us now "That is Princess Aurora."

Rapunzel

Her three faves all in one place!

She just kept staring at Cinderella and then she asked Juliette is she would like a hug. Well that was all she needed and ran right into her arms.

Staring up in awe as Tiana signs her book.

The historically inaccurate  Disney version of Pocahontas and John Smith

Snow White

I couldn't figure out who the skanky princess in booty shorts was, but Josh looked at the book and it was Ken and Barbie. Random appearances at a princess party!

A racially ambiguous Princess Jasmine

She couldn't wait to see the fairies.

Dorothy protected her from the witch

She did a pretty good job of coloring her crown!

Snack time! To make sure kids didn't go back for more cookies (gasp), they made a slash mark on her hand with a black marker. She didn't appreciate that.

By this time, she was not interested in sitting in front of the "enchanted forest" to have her picture taken!

She loved story time and sat through almost the whole basket, even going up to the fairy to suggest a book she should read! HAHAHA! Her sitting quietly gave me the chance to talk to a girl I used to teach with who was pregnant the year I was home with J. Her daughter is in the green fairy costume siting next to Juliette. Her mom said she was afraid of the princesses..poor thing.
