Fall Fun

We had a Fall themed weekend that was totally unplanned- amazing for our family. Juliette slept over at a friend's house on Friday night while the grown ups played poker (I kicked some poker butt and went home a winner). Juliette kept coming over and asking when we were leaving. Apparently we were cramping her style. The next morning we met to exchange kids at the Re Lee fall festival and Juliette got another pumpkin and played some games she used to always play when we went there. Then Sunday Josh woke up with some inspiration to go on a family road trip to Charlottesville to pick apples on Carter's Mountain. We had a great time and came home with some delicious apple donuts, apple butter, apple caramel cookies, and granny smith and York apples. Juliette loved picking apples off the trees and wanted to eat them there. I wasn't sure if that was allowed like at the berry farms, but we saw other people eating so we went ahead and sampled some. I'm glad we did because some apples weren't great so we didn't pick them. But the Granny Smiths were amazing.

Enchanted Tales

I know this show by heart! Juliette was determined to get certain parts so she wouldn't "act" until they called for someone for that part and I'll be darned if she didn't get what she wanted each time! She's got her check list of who she still needs to be!! She got to hop as Chip, neigh as Phillippe, and roar as Beast.

 

Jasmine

Jasmine was her new costume so she was all about seeing Jasmine dressed as Jasmine as soon as we got to the park. The strangest thing happened though- we met Jasmine on Sunday. When we went back to Magic Kingdom the next Saturday, another guest recognized Juliette and asked if we had been there the week before with her dressed as Jasmine. I think her kid and Juliette had played in line together. Crazy!!

We met an amazing photographer who spent a good deal of time with us to get some interesting shots. I love her looking at her shadow. And she never thinks it's funny when we kiss!

 

 

Bonus Day at Animal Kingdom

Juliette was asking to go see the Lion King show and since we had quite a few free days this trip, I added a ticket day for less than the price of a lunch and we headed to Animal Kingdom. Since it was a last minute decision, we just decided to do whatever we wanted and then call it a day. We tried the Kali River Rapid ride- I got soaking wet off the drop. We met Pocahontas, rode a dinosaur Dumbo ride, had lunch, and saw Nemo and Lion King shows and called it a day. It was soooo hot we decided to go back and have a swim.    

 

 

 

New things

We've spent now 12 days at the Magic Kingdom and tried to do some things we've missed. This time we did the Swiss Family tree house, met Buzz Lightyear and rode the Haunted Mansion- twice. The first time Juliette and I went alone and she came out not happy at all. As soon as she talked about it....she wanted to go back again and again. So all of us went on it first thing in the morning.
