More Fireworks

Juliette got to see fireworks night after night up in Pa. It had rained the night Scranton was doing fireworks downtown so they rescheduled them for a night we were able to go. Mari came along with us to sit at the courthouse and enjoy the music and fireworks. It wasn't nearly as cold as it had been the night before at the middle school, but we still needed jackets.

Frozen Fourth of July

I never thought I'd have to wear a sweatshirt, hat, and blankets on the Fourth of July, but it happened.

Long Island

When we made our trip up to PA it was a quick overnight stay and to drop off Juliette with Nana and Pop pop so we could drive another 4 hours to Long Island for our friends' wedding. It was a beautiful two days away in a nice hotel with just the two of us. It was also another realization that we really like the life we have with the young one. We skyped her while we were sitting by the pool and she was a little ticked off we were in a hot tub haha.

Music in the Park

We went to Music in the Park again! I used to take you when you were a baby. You had fun with your friends and even got your face painted.

First music in the park! Above is your buddy Mallie.

First time in the Camper

The week before school let out we took the camper for it's test trip right down the road at the Fredericksburg KOA just in case we realized we forgot something. It was fun except for when Josh tried to extend the bed on the one side and the whole thing collapsed like a teeter totter. Lesson learned- lock the wheel. We got a site right next to the playground so the kids had free range of the place.

Lake Anna

We've been to Lake Anna a few times this summer- twice to the beach. The last time I took Juliette to Lake Anna this is what she looked like:

So needless to saw she enjoyed it a little more this time!

First Sleepover

The week before school ended Miss Diana had the annual sleepover she throws for the kids- June 6. The theme was a secret until we went to pick her up= They had a camp out. It was so cute and Juliette will tell you there wasn't a sleepover- it was camping. Diana went all out with themed crafts, goody bags, food, everything.

The girls all snuggled into the camper.

They made something called a sit-upon by sewing a table cloth and filling it with paper.
They also did constellations with star stickers.
