Christmas Parade

We had a great time working on the float for Troop 3729's entry for the Spotsylvania Christmas Parade. Here's little miss helping glitter up our gum drops with Miss Lea for the roof.

And adding glitter to the banner with Miss April- she was in charge of glitter!

So warm- no jacket! The girls had painted the peppermint candies earlier in the week.

She was an ornament.....

So of course Sarah had to be an ornament!

Here we go!

Handing out candy

Santa!

We even had a balloon! Spotsy is fancy!

Pots and Palettes

The Girl Scouts had a paint night downtown at Pots and Palettes. Juliette and Sarah HAD to paint the same thing of course and chose a pig. They came out very cute and they were all proud of their crafts.

Seeing lights

We love going to the first night of the tree lighting at the mall. Juliette loves getting the hot chocolate.

This is the second year we've gone to Meadow Event Park for the drive through light display. Meadow Park is right next to Kings Dominion, so about a 25 minute drive for us. It's also the place where Secretariat was born so there's a neat history to read about down there. This year they had an "ice rink" set up to skate on. Juliette was determined to do it even though it wasn't real ice. I was impressed with how well she did and how balanced she was on real skates.

Getting a little help from daddy at first

Then she was fine by herself!

Thanksgiving

Ok yes, I'm late, but better late than never. This year The Evans family joined us for turkey day and the kids had fun together all day. Then Mom, Kelley, and I headed out for some holiday shopping in wonderfully warm weather.

Thankful For Books

Back to November- Our school ran a family reading night Thankful For Books. Kids got to come in their PJS, read new library books, make a craft, and check out an extra library book. Juliette loves the library so it was a perfect night for her.
She also got to work with one of her favorite people to make her turkey bookmark- my partner Loretta.

Some fun

We love going to the children's museum by our house. Juliette spent about 30 minutes being  construction worker!

This kid loves bowling! Thanks to the bumpers and the ramp, she kicked my butt!

I'm on top, then Josh, then Juliette

Updates

I'm working on getting all the pictures from the last two months organized and pulled off my phone and Josh's camera. I think this weekend is going to be a post marathon! Lots to catch up on!
Juliette was excited to go back to school and see her friends and her teacher. We are ready for the second half of first grade!!!
