I forgot to post a picture from when Juliette slept over her friends' Luke and Merissa's house- this is what I came through the door to see. I freaked out and Josh started cheering. I think I had the more appropriate reaction.

Yikes!!
As she slid down on her belly her legs flipped right over her head and she turned into a taco! Thankfully she wasn't hurt! Scared the crap out of us!!
Fimally some sun
Josh shoveled out the driveway...again...and made an even bigger hill for Juliette to slide down.
And daddy tried it too

The Blizard of 2016
Well the last post I said Come on SNOW!! I guess it worked because the snow certainly came! We knew all last week that something was coming on Friday and were shocked with some weather on Wednesday too. We had a delay on Thursday and the county closed school for Friday around 5 that evening right when we were finishing up girl scouts. We made sure to go out on Friday morning since the snow was supposed to start between 11 and 2 and not stop until Sunday. We were in the 18 inch range and eventually with drifts and winds I think we got around that much between Friday at 11 and Saturday around 10 pm. It just never stopped snowing! It was impossible to keep Juliette in the house even with the snow and wind. Today was the first sunny day so we spent a lot of time outside this morning. Our road got plowed last night which caused it to turn into a sheet of ice. Fun times.
Here we are out in it right before it got really blizzard-y on Saturday.
Playing with her Ever After dolls in the snow---poor things never stood a chance! :)

Have to laugh
Sometimes I just wonder what the heck is going on in that little six year old head of hers! Then I just laugh. This morning she announced she needed a vacation. I think that's a feeling shared all around which is ridiculous since we just had a two week break. Then she was ticked off she had to go to dance tonight- she said she already told us she wanted to stop. Well sorry kid I just paid for the month and Daddy just paid your costume fee....you're stuck until June. She's already making plans for summer and taking swim lessons again and Bible school with the puppets and girl scout camp at the Lake. We've got a while to go, but it's getting closer. Now all we need is some serious weather! COME ON SNOW!!!!

Back to normal
Well now we are well into the swing of normal routine of school and activities. As soon as we got home she was invited to a sleepover at her friends' house with Luke and Marissa. When I went to pick her up the next day you'd have thought I was taking her to a funeral so we let her stay a little longer because---they had made plans! HAHA! This past weekend she went over to Ryan's house and Eddie and family came to our house. This weekend Luke and Marissa are coming to our house and we may be going to the drive in (yes in winter) to see Star Wars again if the weather is ok. I swear managing her social calendar is more work than it should be at this age!!
On the school front- I need to brag on my baby for a bit :).
Her teacher is in the middle of doing assessments and little miss is in the highest math and spelling group. Yay! She got her first set of spelling words today and one of them......tramp. Oy. Juliette was excited--because it's "like lady and the tramp mommy!" Yep...yep it is honey.

Skating in Pittston
Ever since we took her ice skating on the fake ice, Juliette has been asking to go on real ice so we found a place in Pittston that had public skating times while we were in PA. Juliette started off shaky and holding on the wall. Then she got the feel of it and took off! Now she wasn't fast by any means, but she was moving at a good clip and then would steady herself, stop, and fall! But she refused to use the balance bar and stayed out on the ice for over an hour! I'm so glad we were able to do this with her since I have so many fun memories of ice skating when I was little. Dad used to clear snow off Gravel Pond so I could skate when the ice was thick enough.
Holiday House
Another tradition for Scranton- The Holiday House on Moosic street- aka The Cop's House.
This year he added some Star Wars characters!
Christmas Morning
When we asked Juliette what she wanted for Christmas, she said nothing, she had her family. So of course Santa brought her all her favorite things she had been looking at. Her favorites were a can of fart noise putty called Flarp and a set of 9 mini Palace Pet toys we played with all day. It was a very fun Christmas spent opening presents and playing with all the new games and toys.
Santa also left a Target gift card that was just waiting to be spent. We went to Target a few days later and with her gift card in hand, walked into the store while announcing that it was not for clothes or panties. Now try not to laugh at that! She chose two packs of Disney Tsum Tsums and they joined the Palace Pets as favorite new toys.
Legos!
Flarp
We loved playing Pop the Pig and feeding him hamburgers to pop his belly!
