Side business

I just got my first promotion in my side business selling skin care- yep totally unlike me, but I wanted to see if I could do it. Slowly building my customers and it's exciting :). The products really work and I don't have to wear foundation or moisturizer anymore! I even has a legit website!! lol

I have to laugh at these. When Juliette loves her clothes she'll ask me to take a picture and send it to someone, usually Pop Pop or Mari.

 

Family Reading Night

Our whole school read The Mouse and the Motorcycle, then had a night with all activities themed with the book. Juliette was most excited about sitting on a real motorcycle contributed by one of our teachers who rides.

 

Best Buddies

Begging for play dates is an art form with Juliette. She gets her friends to bug me in the hall too! Last week we had Ryan and went to Steak and Shake. These two play so well together and Ryan is hilarious. We were listening to the song Leader of the Pack in the car and he said Oh I know what that is- the one who pulls the cart! Perfect example of background knowledge changing how you think about something- ok there's my teacher hat showing up.

Well she was a super seller during her first cookie sale! Between this initial order and second orders, she is up to about 140 boxes!

 

 

Battle Scar

I don't have the most coordinated child on the planet, but a few weeks ago I got a call from the nurse at school saying Juliette had gotten hurt in PE. Apparently they were doing toe touches and she much have gotten herself off balance and cracked her chin right into the gym floor. It swelled up right away and turned all sorts of interesting colors. Of course picture day was two days later!

This is how I kept the ice pack on her chin- a pair of stockings tied around her head like ears that had a bag of ice in the crotch to hold it in place!

Wow

Where did March go? The end of February was a blur with Grandma Joan passing away and getting up to PA and back. It's been a quiet month with some fun. We renewed our passes for the children's museum and we had opening day at Kings Dominion where we froze our behinds off in the 38 degree cold. Juliette had her first friend sleep over- that was an experience let me tell ya! The biggest excitement as we end the month is preparing for our Disney trip on Friday! Yes again!!!
Here is little miss counting up her treasures. She told me how much she wanted to take and it was reasonable. Tonight she said she wants to take it all. She's been saving for a year with only breaking into the bank a few times.
