Fall Festival

Once Ryan found Juliette he didn't leave her side.

Fall hair!

We were in line waiting for the train and Ryan was already on it. When he saw Juliette in line he started to untie his buckle to get over to her, but finally settled on just waiting for her to get on with him!

Going to get a pumpkin together

Hula hooping together!!

Field trip!

Kindergarten went to Belvedere Plantation for their field trip this year. I knew Juliette was comfortable there so I didn't go with them. She wasn't happy about me not going, but got over it quickly when she found out she was going to get to ride in a school bus. Of course she had to wear her pumpkin shirt!

Trick or Treat!

She picked her light up singing Elsa dress for this weekend. Each time she went to another campsite she would press her button for them to see what her dress did! Also can't forget her wings- did you know Elsa had fairy wings?? All the kids had a great time and it was pretty warm outside. The older girls dressed like scary dolls. Poor Mallie came down with a high fever earlier so she missed walking around with everyone. James scared the pants off Juliette and he had to keep lifting his mask so she could see it was just him. He's the one all the way to the side of the picture with the scarecrow/scream mask.

First stop Erin's mom!

Besties with Owen. I think we had Owen with us most of the weekend! I love this age when she can go off and play with her friends. We always knew where she was and she knew how to get back to our camper. With all the parents and kids, someone always knew where the kids were haha.

candy from Miss Diana!

The Lavoys had a great plan to keep the kids occupied so the adults could have some fun. They brought their surround sound system and projector and hung a table cloth on the side of their camper for the kids to watch movies. They watched Charlie Brown, a Kiss concert, Peabody and Sherman (which is now on Juliette's Xmas list) and part of Wall E. Juliette had never seen Wall E and was bummed when I made her come to bed before it was over.

So excited to see each other. I thought Owen was going to jump out of his car when they got here and saw Juliette.

Natural Bridge

We went back to Natural Bridge for a great fall camping weekend. We all took off Friday and drove down with the pop up. All together about 40 people were in our group. We basically took over half of the KOA! We did the Safari Park on Saturday and it was beautiful. I was just happy that I wasn't sick like last year. Juliette was thrilled her buddy Owen was there and Miss Diana. Toby and James being there was the icing on the cake!

The watusi got Juliette with its horn.

Jerky camels got my bucket!!! We watched one actually swallow the entire plastic container. That can't be healthy for them!

And here he is eating the bucket.

We even saw a kangaroo boxing match!! These two were going at it pretty hard for some reason. The one on the right ended up with a very bloody throat.

Juliette kept talking about feeding the birds again with the sticks, but when we went into the area she got scared by them coming at her from everywhere. Next year we'll skip it.

Updates

Hmmm I really need to get on here more! October is almost over. How did that happen??? We've had a lot of fun this month with trick or treating (and it's not Halloween yet!), camping trip, Juliette's first field trip, the fall festival at school, etc. The past few days have been rough on Miss J. We think she had a little stomach bug OR she truly is allergic to grapes and they made her sick again. Thankfully she's been ok at school and I kept her home from CCD last night. After a day without Mommy packing grapes in her lunch- which she asked for-she's back to normal. Could have been a bug. We're going to take her to an allergist at some point.
So here we go with a ton of pictures :)

First off here is our newest member of the family-Missy. She came from an animal shelter where she had been for quite a while. Josh fell in love with her and Juliette insisted we had to save her. She's not a kitten so she has some "quirks" and she's got her front claws- something we are removing ASAP. I guess she had some food issues and will steal you blind if she gets near your plate. She's very quiet and likes to snuggle. But she's a little skittish and if she's all comfy and something moves she freaks out and launches off wherever she is. Fun times.

Picking her up :)
